The PropTech company Tmpl and Malmö municipal housing company MKB have been carrying out a project in Limhamn since the end of 2018, during which 64 newly built apartments have been connected to Tmpl’s platform. This project will be expanded to include four additional areas in Malmö in autumn 2019, with slightly more than 1,000 apartments connected to the platform.
“Following a successful start-up period, we are delighted that MKB is continuing to connect its properties. This project is a prime example of how the platform can and should be used, by both users and property companies, to increase cooperation in our housing areas and cities,” says Henrik Svanqvist, CEO of Tmpl.
The residents of one property in Limhamn have had access to MKB’s customer app, which is based on Tmpl’s platform, since December 2018. The residents can use the app to communicate with the landlord and each other, a function that many residents are taking advantage of. The residents use the communication feed in the app to ask questions and receive information from MKB, and also to help each other and provide tips on housing-related matters.
In autumn 2019, slightly more than 1,000 additional apartments will be connected across Malmö and the possibility of implementing the platform in a number of commercial premises will be reviewed. Integration solutions will also allow residents in several properties to book laundry times using the app.
