Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement for Avy (English)

Ensuring that everyone can use our platforms is an integral part of our core vision. Avy is committed to offering digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and are applying the relevant accessibility standards in the process.

How we work with accessibility

We at Avy want to be inclusive and a platform for everyone. That is why we are aiming towards fulfilling the European Union accessibility standard WCAG 2.2. In this statement you will find details about our vision, and our strategy for how we work towards fulfilling WCAG 2.2.

It’s in our ambition to have external accessibility audits frequently done to all our products so that we know for sure that we are living up to accessibility standards.

Initiatives that have been done are identification of accessibility gaps in our products, creation of new ways of working, increased awareness and maturity around accessibility in our entire organisation. We have educated our staff to make certain that they have the knowledge and skills needed to build our products in accordance with current requirements and standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Avy’s products have been audited through an external auditing process during 2022, where a number of barriers have been found and acknowledged. Furthermore we are committed to performing internal audits on a regular basis. Avy is currently only partially conformant with WCAG 2.2. Partially conformant means that some or several parts of the products do not fully conform to the accessibility standards.

Current accessibility barriers

Assistive technologies

Screen readers
Avy platforms are currently not supporting the use of screen reading software programs like Google’s Talkback or Apple’s VoiceOver.

Keyboard navigation
Avy platforms are currently not supporting the use of keyboard navigation.

Adaptive strategies

Avy platforms are currently not supporting dynamic font scaling. This means that some users who prefer increased font sizes or suffer from visual impairment might experience our platforms as difficult to use.

Contrast ratio

The contrast ratio on text, icons and other non-decorative elements do only partially fulfil accessibility requirements of 4.5:1 (paragraph text) and 3:1 (large text and elements).

Additional note

Identified deficiencies are planned to be executed on an ongoing basis starting from January 2023 and onwards.
